Burning Cross
I channelled this picture in the early days of my art. "A child is nailed to a burning cross. The letters ‘WIN’ appear in the ghostly smoke from the burning effigy."
This picture represents an important spiritual initiation, through the crucifixion and resurrection of the inner child - the “Christ child or baby Jesus”. This is a symbolic interpretation but the initiation is real for those overcoming a traumatic childhood.
I ask of anyone viewing this picture: “Is the cross descending or ascending? Can you sense the movement of the cross?
