Marilyn, a friend of Jerrold, was inspired by Jerrolds's art to write a poem about love and oneness.

Beloved as I speak to thee of wonders yet to come.
I revel in all that was, when we had just begun.
I loved you then, as I do now, and always that will be.
For when we are united as one, the love carries on eternally.
It is said there is a heaven, but I think that's misconstrued.
With respect to others' beliefs, that is what I conclude.
Heaven is a state of mind, triggered by the heart.
That is where all the love takes form, never again to be apart.
It is there that we will meet again, my beloved, my sweetheart.
As the deepest part of our beingness from this Earth departs.
Below the waves, among the trees, through the winds we'll soar.
There we will create our heaven, our joy and love to explore.
One by one, we'll all meet there, once from here we're freed.
Having lived all the illusions, of which we had agreed.
Then everyone will realize that there was always only one.
And that love was all there was from the time it had all began.
